River level is the depth of water at a monitoring station, measured in metres relative to a specified datum. Flow is the volume of water passing a monitoring site over a given time, measured in cubic metres per second. Details of the datum level for a river level site are available by following the link to the Check for flooding in England on the station page https://check-for-flooding.service.gov.uk/find-location
