The Environment Agency Storage Rain Gauge Network is an integral part of the overall precipitation network that supports broad range of business decisions. For example daily data from the Environment Agency storage gauge network is combined with data totals derived from our network of automatic gauges to help form the evidence base upon which the Environment Agency, water companies and UK plc manage and maintain water resources.
