Created: 31 October 2024 Updated: 25 March 2025
We have published:
17 December 2024: A ‘National assessment of flood and coastal erosion risk in England 2024’ report - this report is a summary of our new national flood risk assessment (NaFRA) data and our new National Coastal Erosion Risk Map (NCERM)
28 January 2025: New NaFRA data on ‘Check your long-term flood risk’ and available on the Defra Data Services Platform
28 January 2025: New NCERM on ‘Explore coastal erosion risk’, Shoreline Management Plan Explorer and available on the Defra Data Services Platform
25 March 2025: New NaFRA data including updated Flood Zones on ‘Flood Map for Planning’ and available on the Defra Data Services Platform
We plan to update flood risk datasets every 3 months and coastal erosion risk datasets every 12 months. In 2025/26, flood risk updates may be more or less frequent as the new approach is established.
